Minutes from "March Meeting" on 2007-03-06 18:30

This meeting had a great turnout with 13 people being present! Thanks to all for inviting your friends and colleagues.

New business:
There was a discussion of a possible change of venue after learning that the Progressive Center would like a $2 per head donation per meeting. Justin collected this and paid it at the end of the meeting to Adrain. Several members offered to check into prospective locations and report back at the next meeting. These members are:Brian Leibow,Chris and Raymond. As for now, the next meeting will still be held at the Progressive Center.
We also made a tentative speaking list for the next seven months. The list is as follows:
April-Linux Hacks-Jimmy
May-Feisty-Jay and Justin
June-Multi-media-Derek
July-Wireless Networking-Brian (if you don't show up, you get volunteered)
August-Samba-Jay
September-Wine-Justin
October-Project Management-Derek
It was also suggested that meetings as well as Workshops be added to the Yahoo calendar to be emailed out three days and one day in advance. These will be added to the Yahoo group.
Another bit of new business was the suggestion that there be a monthly workshop. The next scheduled workshop will be on the 14th of April with Derek expanding on his Virtualization topic.
With this, new business was done and the presentation commenced.
